Building Analyst Professional
Our Building Analyst Professional training course prepares students to obtain certification as a Building Performance Analyst through the Building Performance Institute, Inc. This program is specifically designed for professionals entering the energy efficiency field and seeking to become an accredited energy auditor.
Our course provides a comprehensive and intensive study of the house as a system and will prepare auditors to recognize performance improvement opportunities and educate homeowners on ways to create a more healthy living environment. Subjects of study include: Principles of Energy, Energy and the Building Shell, Air Leakage Principles, Whole House Diagnostics, Energy Auditing, Performance Measurement, Heating & Cooling, & more...
Several cities are considering and have already passed unprecedented ordinances requiring energy audits to be completed on area homes during new construction, remodels and pre-sale. This certification is a requirement for conducting City of Austin Energy Conservation Audit Disclosure (ECAD) Ordinance Audits. TOTAL COST:
$1500.00 (This includes a $300 non-refundable deposit due at registration).
The 2-hour written exam will be offered by Atlas Academy on the last day of the course and the 2-hour field exam will be scheduled with each student individually for the week following the course.
